Good read but disappointing

Certainly a different story angle. I didn't read the book before this so the characters were new to me. What a lot of nasty characters! I always skip over boring lengthy descriptions of guns, weapons and military hardware. Another hate is finding the book end many pages earlier than expected and then get the first chapter of the author's next book. I feel cheated every time. If I want to read the next book I'll buy it, I do not read the teasers so it is wasted space. Predictable ending and I'm glad the character is gone.
